HIERES-SUR-AMBY

Unspoilt nature, remarkable archaeological sites, a rich built heritage...

The balconies of the Dauphiné are definitely full of treasures!
Nestling in the heart of lush green countryside, Hières-sur-Amby offers plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling. The Val d'Amby is ideally situated on the famous ViaRhôna itinerary, which runs along the Rhône with its 815 km of breathtaking scenery from Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean sea.

Hières-sur-Amby is also a historical village, with the Heritage Museum and the Larina archaeological site on the rocky promontory overlooking Hières. Sports enthusiasts can take advantage of the village's 80m-high climbing wall, while others can cool off in the crystal-clear waters of the Verbois waterfall.

Just 10 minutes away, the caves of La Balme, once home to prehistoric mankind, are a spectacular sight with their magnificent concretions.

Don't miss out on a visit to the characterful villages in the surrounding area, such as the medieval Crémieu, the town of Pérouges or Saint-Sorlin-en-Bugey, beautifully nicknamed the village of roses. Just 30km away, the capital of gastronomy reveals its historic districts: the Croix Rousse, the Vieux Lyon and its traboules, the Notre-Dame de Fourvière basilica, its ancient theatre, the Tête d'Or park, the banks of the Saône and Rhône rivers, its museums (of illusion and the Confluences museum)... not forgetting, of course, its famous Lyonnais bouchons.

You'll see that there's no shortage of ideas for visits and discoveries around our hotel. We'll be delighted to advise you...
